Paul Peterson

President

As President, Paul drives the strategic development and direction of Emerald Connect as a full-service financial marketing company. After serving two years as Vice President of Sales, Paul became President of Emerald in 2005. He brings to Emerald a record of accomplishment as both a financial advisor and the owner and operator of several successful businesses in San Diego, including a large insurance agency where he was recognized as “top producer” seven times. Paul has presented more than 500 seminars on various topics to financial professionals across the country. He is widely recognized as an expert in the area of financial seminar marketing, and during the past several years he has provided coaching on marketing concepts and seminar techniques to thousands of financial professionals.

Jon Visser

Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Jon is responsible for directing the production and delivery of Emerald’s products. He joined Emerald in 1996 as Product Manager and has served in various capacities during his tenure. In his current role, he oversees various departments within the Company to successfully complete production requirements. Information technology infrastructure responsibilities report to Jon, including the management of Emerald’s datacenters and production equipment. Jon also oversees the customer support necessary to accomplish the personalization of Emerald’s Prospecting and Retention products. Prior to joining Emerald, Jon worked for NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center.

Sarah Marshall

Vice President of Finance and Human Resources

As Vice President of Finance and Human Resources, Sarah is responsible for the accounting and finance operations and oversees human resources. Additionally, she is responsible for the budgetary strategic planning for Emerald and is the financial representative for the Company to StoneRiver, as well as all sales and use taxing authorities. Sarah joined Emerald in November 1997 as Accounting Manager. Prior to joining Emerald, she worked in public accounting for eight years at two San Diego-based accounting practices. Additionally, Sarah earned her CPA and spent two years as a tax supervisor at Alaris Medical.

Sharon Greener

Vice President of Sales

As Vice President of Sales, Sharon oversees the retail sales floor of 30+ sales representatives as well three staff members who focus on broker-dealer business development. Responsibilities include managing staff and performance targets, all in-house sales training programs, and annual strategic plans specific to closing sales and the sales process. With over 27 years of sales and sales management experience, Sharon has worked in several capacities, including advertising and promotion, manufacturing and enterprise software. Sharon has managed staff and sales teams throughout her career and has been a top producer with every position held.

Heather Hinkle

Vice President of Product Marketing and Support

As Vice President of Product Marketing and Support, Heather oversees several departments and is responsible for Emerald’s product content, compliance and regulatory requirements, advisor marketing, and technical support. Heather joined Emerald in 2003 as Product Manager. Prior to that, she spent six years as a Communications Specialist in the Air Force National Guard and 10 years at Successful Money Management Seminars, holding the titles of Marketing Director and Product Manager.

Tom Fazekas

Vice President of Development

As Vice President of Development, Tom oversees a department of eight software developers and database administrators. Responsibilities include oversight of all software development, project management, and leadership of the development staff. With over 22 years of programming and management information systems experience (11 of them at Emerald), Tom was the author of Emerald’s advisor website system and continues to work directly with corporate clients on system enhancements and custom development projects.

Heidi Saucier

Vice President of Media & Creative Services

As Vice President of Media & Creative Services, Heidi is responsible for managing the creative output of the website design and media development groups. In this role, she is responsible for the specification, project management, creative design, direction, and implementation of all website tools. Heidi oversees the project management of Emerald’s top website corporate accounts. She has been with Emerald for over 15 years and continues to push Emerald’s design and website technologies. Prior to joining Emerald, Heidi served as the design director of the San Diego Business Journal and as the creative director of Hare Publications and Accounting Week Magazine.
